What this tool does
The official API needs a Meta business, a number that can receive the registration code, a display name, and a site a reviewer can open. A privacy policy on that site is part of a credible file. This checklist is those five items.
The number cannot stay registered on the WhatsApp Business app and the API at the same time. Move it on purpose, when the team is ready to work from the shared inbox.
How to use it
- Confirm the number can receive SMS or a call.
- Match the display name to the website.
- Put a privacy policy in the footer before you send the link to a reviewer.
Worked examples
A D2C brand with a live store and a privacy page is usually blocked only on business verification or the display name.
A new brand with no site is not ready, even if the phone is in their hand.
Common mistakes
- Connecting a number that is still logged in on someone’s phone.
- A display name that is a product keyword instead of the brand.
- Calling the PDF an approval.
