Instagram Chatbot

How it works

1. 1. Create an Account

   Go to Sign Up, fill in the required details, and click on Create Account.

2. 2. Complete Initial Setup

   After successful signup, you will be redirected to the dashboard where a popup will appear to collect additional required information.

3. 3. Go to Chatbot Section

   Click on Chatbot from the left navigation bar to access the chatbot management section.

4. 4. Create a New Chatbot

   In the chatbot panel, click on the + button to start creating a new chatbot.

5. 5. Chatbot Creation Process

   The chatbot creation process consists of: Setup, Train & Configure

   Setup

   Fill in the required details to initialize your Instagram chatbot.

   • Chatbot Name

     Enter a name for your chatbot. This helps you identify it later.

   • Chatbot Platform

     Select Instagram as the platform where your chatbot will be used.

   • Chatbot Description

     Provide instructions or context about your chatbot. This acts as the AI prompt.

   • Description Template

     Choose a predefined template to quickly generate chatbot instructions.

   • Chatbot Gender

     Select the chatbot's tone or persona (e.g., Male, Female).

   Train

   Provide data sources to train your chatbot and improve its responses.

   • Website URL

     Enter your Website URL or Instagram Profile URL. The chatbot will use this to understand your content. For this guide, we are giving an Instagram Profile URL

   • Add Knowledge Base (Optional)

     Add data sources to train your chatbot. Click Add Knowledge Base to open the knowledge base options popup.

   • Knowledge Base Options (Optional)

     You will see three options Sitemap URL, Upload Document and Select from Existing Knowledge Base.

   • Select Upload Documents (Optional)

     For this guide, we are selecting Upload Documents option to proceed.

   • Upload Documents (Optional)

     Choose and upload a document in one of the following formats: .pdf, .docx, .txt, or .xlsx.

   • Add Sitemap (Optional)

     Click Add button. This will automatically fetch and link your website content to the chatbot.

   Configure

   Connect your Instagram account and manage webhook event settings.

   • Read Instructions Before Connecting

     Please review the requirements before proceeding. You must have an Instagram Professional account and it should be linked to a Facebook Page. Once ready, click Connect to continue.

   • Connect Instagram Account

     Click Connect to link your Instagram Business account.

   • Facebook Login

     After clicking connect, you will be redirected to Facebook. Log in using your Facebook credentials.

   • Select Facebook Pages

     Choose the Facebook Pages you want to grant access to and click Continue.

   • Select Business Account

     Select the business accounts associated with your Facebook account.

   • Select Instagram Account

     Choose the Instagram account you want to connect.

   • Review Permissions

     Review all requested permissions and click Save to continue.

   • Connection Successful

     Your Instagram account is now successfully connected. Click Got it to return to the chatbot builder page and continue setup.

   • Select Instagram Page

     Choose one Instagram page from the list and click Connect.

   • Webhook Subscriptions

     Enable or disable webhook events like messages, message_reactions etc., to control chatbot triggers.

   • Disconnect Instagram

     If you want to disconnect your Instagram account, you can click Disconnect at any time.

6. 6. Test Instagram Chatbot

   To test your chatbot, go to your connected Instagram account and start sending messages.
