Prerequisites

Google Analytics 4 Data API SDK in your system.

Property ID from Google Analytics and service key (JSON file) from the Google Cloud Console Service account.

Step-by-Step Guide:

Step 1: Download SDK

Download Google Analytics Data API SDK

(install within environment (venv))

    pip install google.analytics.data

If you are using UV, then use the command below.

uv pip install google-analytics-data

All required libraries are installed after this. You can use real-time and metadata APIs from this SDK.

Step 2: Get property ID from the Google Analytics

Obtain the property ID from the generated GA4 account.

After launching your GA4, choose "Admin" from the lower left corner.

Choose the "Property details" section next.

Your property ID is located in the upper right corner. Save it for a later step.

Step 3: Get the service key file from the Google Cloud Console

Obtain your service key file (JSON file), which you have downloaded in Service Account Creation.
